The winning ways have continued for the Portland softball team.
The Raiders are off to a 16-2 start after making a run to the Division 2 quarterfinals a year ago.
And that success has Portland remaining as one of the area’s ranked softball teams.
In the latest Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association state poll, the Raiders remain No.8 in Division 2. Fulton is the only other area softball team in the poll and is honorable mention in Division 4.
DeWitt is the area’s only ranked baseball team and is No. 6 in Division 2.
